MITRA is a Social sciences master dedicated to the transnational migrations and their impact on contemporary societies. The teaching languages are French and English. After a first multidisciplinary semester focused on the acquisition of the concepts and founding methods of the program (in sociology, history, geography, social psychology and socio-linguistic) in Lille, the students undertake one or several mobilities within the partners’ institutions.

Optional mobilities are offered for the second semester in Wroclaw (Poland) or Cluj (Romania). For the third semester, the students undertake an international mobility in one of the partners’ universities in Europe or outside Europe in order to start their field research and do an internship. The fourth semester is dedicated to the writing of the thesis and the training report. It can take place either in Lille or in one of the partners’ universities.

The composition of the consortium allows the students to pursue their studies around the migrations and their political, sociological and cultural impacts in central, oriental Europe, in Eastern Mediterranean countries, in Western Africa and in Brazil.
